For the Birds Chess Set
From Diana Thompson's Wooden Chess sets you can make.

Cut out of Aspen, I would guess between cutting and finishing 40-50min a piece.
I still need to make the board.

Thanks it was a lot of fun to make the1st of each piece; however it takes lot to stick with it and make all the pieces. Of course you’re so good by the last piece you look at the 1st ones and wonder if you should redo them.

This set is actually scaled down from the plans in the book for 1” X 1” sized wood I made from some fire wood we had cut.
