My 1st compound cut. Idea from others on this site (thanks) and curved to look like an Ovation for my Dad. Used pine with a red mahogany stain.

Thanks for the encouragement David. For this pattern I just printed up a picture of a guitar off of musiciansfriend.com and traced the outline then a line about 1/8" from the outside of the body as well as the sound hole, pick guard and bridge. If you do it this way, you can pick any guitar you want. For the side cuts I sketched on the lines and rounded the neck with a knife and sanding. If you match the grain you can get the look of strings too. By the way, I like the name, I use to be called "Guitarman" in High School. Have fun frettin,
