Ted was nice enough to share his award winning fretwork pieces with us all the way from Australia. This piece won first prize in the complex fretwork, first price in the complex class and first price in best in exhibition at the First National Exhibition of the Australian Scroll Saw Network. The piece was designed by Dirk Boelman. The Jesus portrait and religious overlays were made of silky oak and quandong. The frame was recycled western red cedar, Tasmanian oak and pine with a walnut overlay. The backing was burgundy velvet board and the background was New Guinea rosewood.
