Default Blue Pine Clock

Montana Blue Pine is the wood used to make this mantle clock. I haven't installed the clock yet. It is a Dirk Boelman pattern.

It's beautiful. It looks like it is made out of marble. With the clock insert it will be a nice time piece when it is done. I will be starting a mantle clock too but maybe not for a day or two yet to get into the shop. Great job! Fay

Very, very nice - never heard of Montana Blue Pine before - is that it's own species? - a colour variation? Regardless - that grain is gorgeous.

Thanks Jay, Blue pine is beetle killed pine. Sad that pine is destroyed by beetles, but it does make some interesting wood. This wood was harvested from a friends property near Frenchtown Montana.

That wood is so pretty its a shame to have to cover some of it up with the clock. Nicely done.
