Default 1956 Chevy pickup

I started a new project the other day, I'm making a 1956 Chevy step side pickup and my vision is to turn it into a 4 wheel drive monster truck.
The pattern is from Gatto plan supply..

Hey Mike, just about everything I make goes through the fair for judging. It's been awhile since I've had one of my models entered so I have to hit every detail I can think of..

I have to say the OCD kicked in...
I've got way too many hours spent on this bed I just hope the the rest of the truck turns out as good...

I need to start figuring out the under carriage since that's going to be all me with no set plan..

this is what I came up with for the springs and axles....

I guess I need to make the fenders so I can figure out how high to make it for the 2 1/2 inch tires...

This is going to be a good one. Anxious to see it when it is all decked out.

The 56 Chevy pickup is one of my all time favorites. Looking good so far and I am really looking forward to the finished project. I know it will be great.

yeah the shop stayed clean for a day...
I've got a little over a week into the project and I'm spending about 2 hours a night in the shop. I'm taking my time and I'm trying to get the right...
there's a great looking truck over on the Gatto site that has set the bar high..
bobman also did this truck and he did an amazing job on it..
luckily for me I have their trucks to look at....

the rear fenders are done and one side of the cab and front fender cut.

I hope the other side turns out as go...
