Default Happy Valentine's Day

I started this about a week ago but just finished it today...
It felt like I couldn't control my hands and the blade when I started this so I let it sit...today was a better day for cutting...

Congrats Sam!

Yeah you have to really get in the zone to cut it. I do love that pattern and I know I will cut it again soon as I get a few other projects out of my hair!

I may try to do the next one leaving out the left side of leaves so I can use narrower wood to cut it on.

Is that Oak you cut it on?? How stable is it? I did my first one on 3/4" red cedar and it was a bit shaky on the left side so I mounted it on a backer board.

Pinelog,

I used 1/2" White Ash...as thin as some areas are it's pretty strong...there is a lot of wasted area on it...I liked the pattern, I did it for the practice...
