Need some ideas

Need some thoughts for the frame.
It's made from an old red oak plaque from from one of the racecars I used to sponsor when I had my shop.
Should I shape it, keep it square etc? The cutting is of the USS Saratoga with a pattern made from a photo of a 17' model built by a friend of mine.
