Default I know I need more practice, but !

For my first time doing a bit more of a difficult piece, I think it came out pretty good. I should have fit the pieces better before I glued them in. It's red oak leaves and white pine base. Man those leaves are so delicate, I broke about 4 of them before I finally got enough to finish this !! Worst part was I broke them when I was using my sanding mop!! I think it's caused by A: lack of experience, and B: not paying total attention to what I was doing! All of a sudden they were flying all over my shop LOL. Thank god for industrial superglue!!!
I think next time I'll use Poplar instead of Oak, any thoughts on that??
All criticisms and suggestions are welcome! Thanks for even looking...
Jack

Don't worry Jack it happens to all of us. Poplar probably would be easier to work with on a project like that.

It looks pretty good. Just keep having fun and the next one will be better.

I'm on the east side of Orlando. One of these days I'm going to come down there and bother you and Jan. LOL
