Default Todays effort 3

Over all size is 5 x 6 1/2"
Frame is 1/2" solid birch with a heavy dose of dark cherry stain, 2 coats spray shellac and 3 coats krylon clear acrylic and can be used as a trivet or wall hanging or both with or without the removable insert. Sorry for te bad pics but if you look close you can see the built in saw tooth hanger.
Insert is 1/8" BB with cherry stain, 2 coats spray shellac and 2 coats clear acrylic, backed with Coors 12 pack cardboard spray painted flat black.
I was shooting for a 100 year old look and I think I hit at about 93.

Nice job Rob.
I think it is better with contrast between the main part and the insert.
Good idea about the hanger as usual.
