Default Today's Effort

Not sanded, shaped or finished yet. Started out as a trivet in 1/2" solid birch.
Now it's a portrait and or trivet. I'm going to stain it a fairly dark and leave the 1/8" BB portrait insert light colored and removable.
The owner of the thirst aid store I patronize wanted a sample of my work to display on the counter at the cash register but it had to be small due to limited space. She is going to promote my work as is also planing on having portraits of her children and grandchildren.

Great stuff Rob........ I like the idea of the changable insert....!!
Hope it brings in lots of business....!!!

On a side note, does it need a hanger?

One of the feet that will stabilize it for use as a trivet will double as a hanger
