Default New Shoes work in progress

Hi all,

I just started working on New Shoes and thought I would share some progress pictures. I am using Quilted Maple, Black Walnut, Western Red Cedar and other woods to be named later.

Looks great so far. Is it going to be a cobbler?

Very nice start. This is the pattern that got me started with intarsia. I just love the pattern. I commissioned an intarsia artist to make it for me. When it was done, I had a plaque made dedicating it to all the little boys in my life - sons and grandsons. I've never once thought of making it myself - it's too hard for me.
For those of you that want to see the pattern, it's a JGR one.

That's probably my favorite of all the JGR patterns. I hope that someday, before I'm too old to recognize a saw, I'll have gained enough skill to make it. Sure looks like you're there and then some. Can't wait to see your continuing WIP photos and the finished product.
