Default Class Project Pics

Hi all! I just finished taking my "Fretwork" class at Iowa Western Community College (IWCC) this past Saturday and I wanted to share some pics of the project we did in the class. For those of you that don't know me I'm very new to scrollsawing. I took a beginner scrollsaw class at IWCC in January and an intermediat class at the beginning of February. Needless to say, I'm hooked.

Anyway, just thought you might like to see what I've been working on. It can only get better from here, right?

Thanks for looking! I had a LOT of fun making these in class and learned a lot too. I'm just gonna keep on scrollin!

Nice Job!!
Did you paint them white too, or is it the material you used?

I love taking classes directed to my hobby. I would have loved to take a class like that - meet new people, share techniques, etc. Lucky you.

It doesn't get much better than that. Great job. You are a graduate!

Thanks for the compliments guys! Ya gave me a warm fuzzy for the day! In answer to Forester21, no I didn't paint them, that's just the color of the wood. I have yet to put a finish on any of the projects I've done. To tell the truth I wouldn't know where to start with stains and finishes for the different types of woods (except for asking on this board of course!!).

I just discovered Steve Goods' website and I have been downloading patterns like crazy. Wow! What a treasure trove of information and patterns! Look for more pics to come.

I LOVE scrollsawing!
