Default My fire truck project

Caleb would of never noticed, but I did and couldn't stand it!
I wish you guys would of told me that it looked like crap before I glued it together and I could of fixed it.....

I didn't sand the cab too good and the stain really shows all the defects especially at the rear doors.....

so I thought I would try and see what I could do by taking it apart....
so now I have to re-do pretty much the whole cab....

I did get started on the back half.....

like I said Caleb would of never known but I'm also thinking about entering it in the fair as my intarsia entry and I know the judges would of hit me hard on it...

Hey, Trout, don't worry, just be happy that you can do something about it. I finally messed up a plaque that I was doing(first goof). I forgot to attach floaters in a name & wa-la the letter just fell out. Good fire wood though. Duh ! -- Perk

G'day Trout,
Stain's a bastard of a thing for showing up any small defects.

The number of times. I've sanded a piece to perfection, then when the stain is applied, Bingo, out pop a few scratches and it's start over again.

Looking good my friend. I don't have your patience but enjoy following your progress.

Trout;

Maybe it is just my monitor, but I could only see one small spot that was questionable and even that looked like a grain issue not a stain issue. Anyway, at least you are enjoying the project and looking good from here!

Default slowly but surely....

I was suppose to be starting on my stage coach this weekend but I'm running a little behind on the fire truck.
my leg has been keeping me out of the shop for any length of time....

but I'm sure working on it...
