Default New Saw, New Puzzle

One of the first projects on my new scroll saw (Hitachi CW40) - it's 3/4" oak, approx 10" tall. Design by Judy Peterson. Time to complete, 2 hours. (Still need to apply a finish/Danish oil)

My kids love this puzzle and the ability to remove the hummingbird or let it balance had them declaring this my greatest work. Happy kids don't notice a few burn marks. [picture is not the best, from a phone camera in low light]

Great adaptation. Nicely done.

I have this pattern also. Always thought it was neat! Oily, it's in "the big book of scroll saw woodworking". I'd like to do this one sometime myself! You did a good job cutting it!
