Default Locomotive project part 4

I'm getting really close to being done with my locomotive, I was shooting for this weekend but it's looking more like the end of the week before I'm ready to brag...

as soon as I get all the wheels on which will be today I can start gluing on all the pieces..
the mock up looks great, I'm just hoping that all the different wood tones come together when I start clear coating everything..

here it is 5 day's later and spending every night in the shop for atleast 2 hours a night and I'm just now getting the wheels on....
I affraid it's going to be another week or so until I'm done and thats just for the locomotive.
then it's onto the tracks for it to sit on....

I'm shooting for "Best of Show" at the State fair with this one...

back to work....

You can't rush perfection!! As long as the fair is not next week you will be okay.

I went down to the local hobbie shop and got some of that cork that looks like base rock that they use for model train tracks. I know I'm getting a little ahead of myself but it also helps me from slacking off....

all I can say is...WAIT UNTIL YOU SEE!

My locomotive project just weighed in at 10 lbs....
a couple small parts to glue on and a couple coats of clear and I can call this project done!
