Default River City Scrollers Sign

Well we made good progress on our group sign during our meeting. All of the members got to do some intarsia and we all had a good time.I pretty much have finished drawing the pattern except for labeling the woods. This is the picture that I used for the pattern, gridded for scaling purposes.

Here is a picture of the finished pattern

Here is a picture after our first cutting session. Woods used so far--Water,Blue Mahoe--White water, Fungus stained holly--Rocks, Spalted red maple--The lettering is holly on walnut and the sign board is Mahogany.

It's coming together Mike. Be sure to post the next few installments. This one will be a gem when it's finished!

Wow - that's exciting. A group project. Are people working on it at the meeting? You have several saws?

That is going to look totally AWESOME when it is done. Would like to get some of that Blue Mahoe to play with!

Thanks all for the comments.
This is a fun project and the members of the group are enjoying seeing it come together.
To Sally--We are using a Dewalt saw and my old reliable Craftsman saw.
To Mike--I have done a search for the Blue Mahoe lumber and found only one supplier that sells it for (hold on to your seat) $55 a board ft. I bought 10 bf 5 years ago for $10 a bf and have just about used it up.
