I've got about 3/4 of a can of spray pecan that will probably stay about 3/4 full. Seemed really uneven and compared to other finishes, it was very thin and ran quite easily.

Yes, Marshal I was happy with the results. I masked my glue up edges, it is a little messy though. However each can may vary in stain pigmentation. One may be slightly lighter or darker than the other, even with the same date code.

If I have a container big enough, I dip; if I don't I still dip what I can and like Evie, use a small brush to get the stain into the frets. I then use the Judy Peterson technique of laying the piece on paper towels and letting them absorb the excess stain. A quick wipe with a lint free cloth along with holding it in my spray box and using some canned air gets excess stain out of the veins and small frets. I use the same technique for clear coating them.

I also use the spray box made from an old carton. I hook the piece on an unbent paper clip, hold it in the box, and spray away with clear coat or paint.
