Default Florentine Clock

I decided to try making a clock and settled on this one.

Florentine Plan

I got it all cut out after some trials and tribulations ( my saw has a 16" throat and the thing was 18.5" in length. Now, the plans dont say how it has to go together but I'm thinking 4 countersunk screws and glue from the back to the spacer and likewise from the front into the spacer. I also need suggestions for the finish. Its red oak ply (couldnt find any solid oak wide enough in 1/4").

I made that clock and this is hoe I did it
I screwed and glued the roud piece with the square cut in it on top of the biggest piece (THE PIECE ON THE RIGHT) and then glued the top piece the piece on the left on top of that,.and also used a couple of screws where thy wouldn't show under where the dial would cover them up. I hope this helps you out.
Please let me know how you make out and show a picture of it when it is finished

That looks great so far. Evie has made that one too. Only six parts, that is an easy one.
