Default required by law to post this lol

i was told to post this when i was finished or i would be lashed 20 times with a wet noodle lol but here it is. This is the first project i have ever worked on. My grandfather was a huge woodworking guy his whole life and i use to help him alot when i was younger until he passed away when i was 9. I just turned twenty one a few days ago and my mother gave me the scroll saw he used to use as a present. i tried it out and fell in love with it, but anyway hope you all like it im sure there will be more to come
P.S. i know some of it looks kind of awkward but thats because i freehanded the drawing lookin at an original and since i cant draw lol it came out a little uneven

That piece looks awsome, you did a great job. If you hadn't said so, I would've thought you have been doing this type of woodwork for a while. GREAT JOB! for sharing.

You sir have been exonerated. No lashes...Very nicely done!!!

Glad you were not offended and took my humor for what it was intended for..just a ribbing.

Looks very nice. I know there are a few people on here that draw their own patterns. I must admit I am not one of them. I can not draw a straight line with a ruler. Amazes me what people can do.

You cutting doesn't look uneven to me. It has been said on here many times. We are our own worst critics.

That's a real nice piece of work! Well done.
After this project you only have one direction to go, just keep getting better and better! Good to see some younger folks taking up scrolling.

Keep the projects moving and keep posting cos folks here sure appreciate new contributions to the board.

PS - try applying a bit of tomato & chile sauce to those noodles. It makes the lashes look more effective and adds a bit of a sting !!!

Welcome to the forum. You've done your grandfather's saw justice, what a great gift to get. Your project certainly looks like a pro. Thanks for posting, and come by often.

Way to jump in with both feet HD! Glad to see the threat didn't unsteady your nerves while you were cutting that . Nice job on it!

You did a most excellent job with your Grandpa's saw and your work does great honor to your Grandpa. So be proud of what you created. Keep on cutting and keep on posting.
