Default girl intarsia

heres what im working on now.its a free stained glass pattern.i was wondering what i can use to round the fingers.thanks,tom

Hi Tom, I am not a guru on intasia, but there is tons of burr bits out there to use in your drimal. or fordum. I would chose some diamond burrs.if you have a drimal, you can get some at harbor fright cheap. your friend Evie

Carving that area would work, either with a Dremel like Evie mentioned, or some gouges. Another way, using your scrollsaw, cut that line dividing the fingers, and slip a strip of sandpaper through that cut, and work it back and forth in a fashion that will round over each individual finger. With a little elbow grease, you can make that hand very lifelike doing this. Youve got a nice start on the lil girl, be sure to post a finished photo for us to see.

I use a power carving bit for that type of thing - but they you will have a lot of hand sanding to get rid of the scratches. Good old strips of sandpaper back and forth may be the easiest.
