Default Ribbons & Bows Box

As soon as I got Issue #32 and saw the Ribbons and Bows Box, I decided to give it a try. So, off to my shop to start the project. This is by far the most complicated project I have attempted to date. There are many new procedures on this thing, compound cuts for one. I started on the ribbons and bows first because I had the purpleheart and cherry in my shop, I had to get a piece of mahogany.

All in all, I've enjoyed this project so far except for the fact that every tool in my shop has sandpaper attached to it with 3M adhesive trying to sand the inside of the bows, but still lots of sanding to go before assembly...

All of the pieces are just laying on top of the box, nothing is attached yet.

Let me know what you think so far...

Mike

Mike, your box looks as good as mine! I'm so glad you were able to follow my instructions. Please let me know if anything was not clear, so I can do better for future projects. Thanks!

And please post a picture when you're done. I'd love to see it. Good luck.

I can't wait to see it with a finish on it.
Carole, THANKS for this project.
I have wanted to do this project from the first time I saw it. I suspect it will be one of the most popular projects in this issue.

Wow that looks good! I'm planning on tackling this project when I get some more wood in. I only hope mine looks as good as yours. Josh
