Default azbison' Notre Dame chess pattern

I have finished cutting the pieces, they still need to be 'finished', filing, sanding etcetera but that will come when I get the board/box done. For now they will sit and wait. Walnut and Mahogany is the wood.

Excellent cutting there! You put some serious time in those and it sure looks like it was worth the effort. Can't wait to see them finished with the board.

Amazing!!! I'm speechless. Doesn't happen often but this is by far the best chess set I've seen done on a scrollsaw. Excellent detail and execution Thomas.

Barefoot1 those look awesome, I'm eager to see them finished.
Just curious.....how many hours do you think those took you to cut?

I'm guessing at about 25 hours, but that includes the time to mill all the wood and the first few took much longer than the last few and that included a couple of firewood pieces.

THomas, they look fantastic. Looking forward to the finished set, the board and the storage box. It's starting to look like something that will be cherished for decades.

Default next step

I need to do the final glue up on the board but I was so pleased with the way it is looking I thought I would share. Lots to do still!

Thomas, I don't blame you, it is looking fabulous. You have certainly put a high bar for me. I have the set on my to do list but I am a month a way from trying. I can't wait to see the finished product.
