Gosh, I thought we all had Mike's site bookmarked? I also have his pamphlet hanging in my shop and I used to have pencil that he sent me a long time ago with his info on it until it became a nub!
I had the same level problem as Jigsue mentioned. I did buy a Hegner saw and the saw surface is flat. Also, i went down to the machine shop and they made me a 1.5 inch square block of alumimum. I use that to level the table with a blade. The nice thing about this method is once it's level for a style of blade it's ussually good for a lot of cuts. The large block size covers a large length of the actual blade's cutting area and it the table is slightly beveled by a 0.001 or two it usually does not show up in the work.
