12 years is even not odd.

thankyou so much for the positive comments all. now that, in the last 5-6 weeks, i've searched through most of the threads on this site and seen some of your work, the comments mean even more to me.
it probably took me hmm several hours maybe as many or more than 7. i did it over two days, with many small interruptions and breaks, so i really don't have a clue. i've thought about a figuring a way to keep track. if anyone has any suggestions-- besides buying a better saw than the dewalt i've had for a week, pleas share. i use a stool with a nice pad. yesterday my friend raised my pedal from the floor to up on my saw stand so that my feet could raise up a bit. it has taken much of the pressure off my behind and my legs don't have to flex for hours on end.
and yes i can see how they can be addicting. i started thinking about the full sized pattern almost as soon as cutting this one was done. i'm also considering buying another vid.
i hope to be posting a finished product soon, i thought about printing up some sort of dark backing with blurred leafy jungle imprints. i dunno, the idea is still hazy but it may come to me.

That's a beautiful piece of work Acorn - great pattern and really nicely cut.

I'm not too sure about the thin edge of ply left around the inside of the frame - I would probably have been inclined to lose it one way or another - but maybe that's just me ..
