Talking Quarter Flipper

Here it is, the quarter flipper from the latest issue.

I added a hump on the lever that activates the mechanism. The original design was a little difficult for me to use. If I were to make a second one I would add a depression (shallow c'bore) to both sides of the lever that launches the coin. The depressions would make it easier to cock the device.

The flipper works well and has lit up the faces of everyone who have used it. I personally like building toys, so this project was a must do for me. It's a funny thing that such a simple device is so well received. I suppose it brings out the child in us.

Cool project Rick, now all you need to do is get people to put their quarters on the toy, and then flip them right into your pocket.

Merle... Don't you think a booger flipper might stick together?

Thumbs up

That is so cool!

I bought the book that came out of and plan on making a bunch of the projects for my grandkids.

If you like the flipper you would like the book it called Zany Wooden Toys that Whiz, Spin, Pop, and Fly and it is a Fox book.
