| NOTICE: PATTERN FOUND BELOW I just finished cutting two "stations" for a version of Dominoes called the "Mexican Train". In the first picture I have one station clear coated and one station natural. I did this to give you an idea of what the wood looks like. The wood is called "Kiaat" and is very beautiful. It comes from southern Africa. I wish it were more plentiful, as it is easy to cut and sand. The grain is sooooooo nice. The second and third pictures show the station in use with the dominoes in place. The actual game would have doubles in the center of the station and a matching domino leading out of each player position on the station. We typically play with four players and use the station marked with a "T" as the "Mexican Train." We don't follow the rules correctly, since my Dad likes to play a variation of the game. All in all we have a ball playing the game.

I think this is very cool. I would love the instructions for playing Mexican Train, my granddaughter and I play traditional dominoes whenever we can and a new game would be great. Are the instructions available on the internet, or is it something you and your family made up. Marsha

I like the stations - simple yet beautiful and functional. I have a more complex pattern for a train station that I cut out of bb for my mother to paint. I'll see if I can dig up a picture to post. For the instructions - do a search using your favorite internet search engine - use the terms domino mexican train rules and you'll get a list of sites with the rules. |

Nice stations. I would like a pattern if possible as we play the game as a family on family nights and also at our small group nights. Richard |
