Some time ago,I answered a post suggesting Q tips to get into small places. Since then I have found very small brushes with 1/16 inch diameter bristles that are 1/4 inch long. Overall length 4 inches. Much better. They are quite cheap but I tend to clean all my brushes, cheap or otherwise. Check out Lee Valley at Lee Valley Tools - Woodworking Tools, Gardening Tools, Hardware and search their part numbers 83K09.21, 83K09.22, 83K09.23 and 83K09.24. Their catalogue is a wealth of wonderful information. Unfortunately for all those unfortunate fellow wood workers who do not live in Canada, or in a city where Lee Valley have a store, you will suffer with shipping charges. You might consider children's art paint brushes too. However, search out their e catalogue and if you can make a worthwhile order you will not be sorry. Lee Valley are a great supplier. They are honest, know their product, will tell you if they know and tell you if they don't know. No BS. They also stand behind their product 100%. Can't get better. No, I am sorry to say that I do not have shares in Lee Valley. Woodie |

Woodie, I agree that Lee Valley is a great place to shop. I have found tiny brushes in craft stores, they are called "liner" brushes. One other tip I have used to get finish or glue into or out of tiny places is a drinking straw. Flatten one end and blow the finish or glue into wherever you want it. I don't mean that you put the finish or glue in your mouth.

One of the best things I have found for small spaces is pipe cleaners. They are cheap and can be used many times over by just cutting off the end that was used. Dennis |
