Default Huge mistake

Well I did it. I just made the biggest mistake of my scrolling "career" (at least the biggest so far). I was trying to multi-task and now I have to pay the price. I was preparing several pieces to cut this evening and at the same time preping several pieces for finish. So when I went to spray on the sanding sealer - the piece just didn't look right. Sure enough I had just sprayed spray adhesive on my finished piece instead of sanding sealer. Oh well a quick coat of mineral spirits and hopefully all will be well.

Heh, that's nothing. You've got much larger screw-ups in front of you. Trust me.

LOL - I did it with white spray paint after already attaching a black painted backer board. I wiped it off, but had to take a small artist brush to repaint black in the openings.

I'll bet you were fixed to be tied! Have fun cleaning up the disaster. Well... at least you can salvage your project. Good luck with it.

Richard, sounds like we have all been there, done that and only need the T shirt to prove it

In my Spray booth, I have several guns hung on the wall, one just about always has white undercoat in it.
A while ago I was clear coating about a dozen wooden wheels, and when it was time for the second coat I grabbed the white gun instead. The air turned rather blue.

I thought the spray lacquer I was using on my open segmented maple, yellowheart and bloodwood vase was clear. It was white lacquer . . . . .

Everyone has grabbed the wrong gun or can--but it seems like Bob is always quick to jump in with the black spray paint observation.

Curious minds want to know: is there a hidden teaching lesson buried somewhere in BobD's shop?

He says "Been there, done that!", but I think there might be a good teaching moment in "The rest of the Story".

Isn't it remarkable how samll a world this is...I've heard this same quote many times here but to hear it from an Aussie reminds me just how small this world really is.

Just got me to thinking,
