Funny! looks to me like its an all around the world, young / seasoned, newb / prof, tinkering / full time sawdust making, nothing to hold anyone back, no holds barred website! I don't know what site you think you are lurking on but even a newb like me can see just being a "guy" website is way undervaluing the place! (no offense...heheheee)And she gotcha! wtg Evie! eta: I'm glad you like the site, there is some drama there but also good information!

Well I now have to tune up my smartass remarks! My wife has been working in Victoria for the last 5 years and has finally got a transfer up here. So in 3 months its hide the cast iron frypans or stop being a sexist pig. Hmmm! lol. Alan. |

After years of being a Cub and Scout leader I have a lot of cast iron cooking gear. they are really good for cooking on an open fire without burning the food. My frypans range from 6" to 24" and yes she knows where they are. Alan. |

Evie, Kelly, others-- We need to organize a road trip to Vancouver Island and relieve Alan of all that cast iron. If you have noticed there is a recurring theme in his posts lately and they seem to revolve around a cast iron pan and the side of his head. As a public service (not to mention to keep Chance's best friend safe) we need to find a place to relocate said implements of potential spousal abuse at least for a while. Maybe we could get one of the Scout dads to take temporary custody or sell them and send him a quick sensitivty training before his wife is there permanently. Might just keep her from running afoul of the RCMP when he says something out loud that he should have kept bottled up. (As Chris Myers says--"We kid because we care!")
