Hi everyone, I just got a letter from a reader that Watco's Danish Oil had been discontinued...has anyone heard about that? In the same letter, the reader asked for a good substitute for Watco Danish oil...any suggestions? Bob

Some years ago when Watco changed hands I could not get some for a while. I asked on a forum what would be a good substitute. The answer I received was that Danish oil was Danish oil and they were all the same. That being said, I was glad that Watco reappeared as I have the best results with that brand. So far, there is a bunch out there now. Earl |

I haven't heard of it being discontinued. I do know for a fact however that I cannot get it in gallons here in CT due to shipping restrictions. Perhaps this is part of the confusion?

Somebody recently told me that California retail stores are no longer selling oil based finishes. I have noticed my local Lowe's no longer has oil based stains and poly finishes, but there are still plenty of other oils available.
