| watco Danish Oil Hi everyone,
I just got a letter from a reader that Watco's Danish Oil had been discontinued...has anyone heard about that?
In the same letter, the reader asked for a good substitute for Watco Danish oil...any suggestions?

| Some years ago when Watco changed hands I could not get some for a while. I asked on a forum what would be a good substitute. The answer I received was that Danish oil was Danish oil and they were all the same. That being said, I was glad that Watco reappeared as I have the best results with that brand. So far, there is a bunch out there now.

| I haven't heard of it being discontinued. I do know for a fact however that I cannot get it in gallons here in CT due to shipping restrictions. Perhaps this is part of the confusion?

| Somebody recently told me that California retail stores are no longer selling oil based finishes. I have noticed my local Lowe's no longer has oil based stains and poly finishes, but there are still plenty of other oils available.

I have not seen any restrictions on the avialbility of any of the Watco products here in Ohio.
