| Wheel painting Jig (Machine) G'day all,
By request, I'm proud to present my "Wheeeeeeel painting Jig" LOL
I took some photos and put them together with some notes.
I hope that they have not turned out so small (Because of posting limitations) that you not read them.
Any questions I'd be glad to answer.
Enjoy |

| Whoops!
I think I replied to this in the other thread. Just said "what an excellent piece of kit". We make jigs and labout saving devices, but have never motorised them. Do you buy the wheels or make them yourself (I used to make them, but tend to buy seconds now and tart them up).

Nice work John. Did you study engineering?

| That's a great idea, although it looks like it makes quite a mess. I built the same thing but with a 5 rpm motor and a 7mm mandrel. I use it for applying epoxy finishes to pens. The slow rotation prevents sagging of the finish while at the same time prevents the finish from flying across the room like it would if attached to the lathe. Same system rod makers use to finish fishing poles. Heck, I use the same finish. If it can hold up on a fishing pole, it can stand up to anything.
