Default finishing curly maple update

hey all. as said before, i'm workin on the dome clockand using curly maple. i am applying an analine dye to the wood to get the figure to pop out more, followed by b.l.o., with a top coat not yet decided yer. varnish works the best, but takes too long to dry. so anyhow, i was havin a problen with the wood cuppin after applying the dye. i found out that the faster i get the wood to dry, the less it cups. this was found by mistake. i was dying one piece when i accidently knocked a door onto the floor and it landed onna heat register. i let it sit there until i was done applying the dye to the one piece and when i picked up the door was dry. so i put the other piece, which was the front doorwall, on the register and let it sit there. ended up puttin it in the oven ( onna low setting) as the heat kicked of and it barely cupped!!! awesome!!! so thats gonna make that part of construction a little easier. now iffen i can just keep it simple and not want to go crazy with lighting!!!!!
