Question Keeping the Colour

I have heard that poplar changes colour over time and one shouldn't expect to maintain the nice green grain. Is there something that can be done so the green won't change to brown with time? Guess that is kind of like asking if there is something we can do to stop the aging process too right? LOL.

I think this may work...

Kathy Wise suggests using a white gel stain over basswood in intarsia to keep the wood from yellowing...it should work for poplar as well..
