Default wood for scroll sawing

What sort of wood do you Ladys and Gents like to use for your scroll saw prodjects. I have tryed some pattens that Steve has on his website and found bits break off .

I moved your thread to a more appropriate forum to maximize traffic and get you more responses to your request/question.

I use a wide variety of woods. What kind of wood are you using -- and for what kind of project? The more information you can provide, the better the advise you can get here. If possible, post some pics of your problems. It might not be the kind of wood that is causing the problems you are having.
