Scrolling Wood

Here's some aspen wood I bought from a local sawmill yesterday .Got it all sticker piled and weighted down for drying.
It is half 4/4 and half 8/4. Not much good for clocks or really fine fretwork but great for shelves , keepsake and jewelry boxes, picture frames and miscelaneous small furniture projects.

HI BILL how long will that take to dry in that affull hard on the eyes place? HA HA just kiding

The general rule of thumb for air drying is one year to the inch. Howewver , that particular wood dries faster than some and I have good exposure to east, south and west sun and breeze on the edge of the hillside where it is piled so hopefully I'll be able to use some of the 1' ones on top by about september or october.

I am glad you found your way over here this is a good forum. Have you ever used P S Wood bandsaw blades for resawing? They say that they are the best thing since sliced bread.

I have never used PS Wood bandsaw blades but I sure like the Tufftooth brand.
Are PS Wood blades available in Canada? If so, do you have a website link to them?
I'd like to compare specs and prices.

great view Bill. I use R&amp blades 1/2 3 tpi cuts like butter.

P S Wood's web address is www.pswood.com I was there and read about their blades. How do you put up with that ugly view OHwell someone has to do it. Glad it's you and not me you lucky stiff. I look out my window and all I see is 2 miles of farm field and it's as flat as a pancake.

I find those prices very high if they are in US funds plus shipping to Canada. I get Tufftooth silicon thin kerf blades for a LOT less than that.
So you're a flatlander... Â*So is one of my sons that lives in Saskatchewan. I was kidding my grandson about getting him a tobogan and he had no idea what I was talking about
