I'm down State in Orange County. We pass by your area on our way to visit my wife's father and sister. He lives in Chateaugay Lake and she lives in Dannemora. Ray

I LOVE working with butternut. It's hard to find out here on the left coast but every once in awhile I come across some. It's nice to cut and shape for intarsia. It does have a certain direction to the grain and if you end up putting 2 pieces together, make sure you're facing the grain the same way or it will look like 2 different shades.

Oily if that is a Steve Good pattern, I also made it, but yours came out way better than mine. Great looking wood, and I like the feet you put on it. Thanks for the pictures.
