Ok so i saw this stuff on rockler .com and had to get som I'm a jewelry maker so i had to get some. tell me what you think. ![]() Above is a shot of the end grain ![]() Below is a little necklace i made from it. ![]() Below is the side / top grain. ![]() THw wood looks a little cruddy in the last pic because it is coated with wax. It's got some interesting grain.I have never heard or seen it.Thanks for the view.Tony

It's beautiful grain and neckless. I'm going to have to look at that wood more closely. It's very nice.

Hi Brandon. I saw your reply to my thread about where to order wood before this one,but the web site THE WOOD & SHOP Inc Since 1983 has black palm also.click on the hardwood price list and its towards the bottom of the page.They also sell "sample boxs" that might save you some money since you make jewlery and can use the smaller boards. That is some neat looking wood! The pic from the above site doesn't do it justice. I to am gonna have to read up on it some. for the pics ![]() Jerry

I've used it before for making pens. Its a beautiful wood and it finishes well but it has a bad habit of splintering. You should try some red palm to. Their extremly simular except for the color.
