Hey all, It seems like I married into a good family a little over a year ago. My wife's uncle told me he had some wood he would give me if I picked it up. Yesterday we drove down to his house and when he showed me the piles of wood I almost passed out. It was aLOT of wood. I got all of the walnut he had, a truck LOAD of it! All of this is rough cut and about an 1" thick or a little thicker. The boards are anywhere from 8"-15" wide and about 8-13 foot long! Some boards still have bark on the sides and I think those will make some awesome wildlife cuttings!! I havent decided what to do with all of it...I might sell a few pieces or just be a hog and keep them all! Anyway, here are some pictures of the wood. Also there was a couple pieces of cherry in there too! And one piece of oak...thats the piece on top of the bigger pile. This was all stored in a old chicken house so it is really dusty. I planed down a piece of it just to look at it, and it is beautiful! Just thought I would brag a little! |
