That's for a piece of wood to do crafts such as our scrolling. Then their wood is junk besides. Like Kevin says too, it's outrageous in price too. If you have a wood source, be thankful, but, you still have to watch prices. Perk
In AZ you have a super lumber supplier! Its a little more expensive there for most than I pay around here, but I believe Exotic Hardwood Lumber and Woodworkers Supplies | WoodworkersSource.com has 3 locations in AZ

Kevin,

Thanks for your offer of help with thin wood. The morons in my community shop keep replacing the resawing blade on our 17" Grizzly with one with very fine teeth because they don't know the difference. Makes me nuts!

I usually go to Condon's in White Plains for lumber, since I'm often in WP anyway. They have a full range of exotics as well as common woods, and their cutoff pile is like a toy store for adults. Sometimes there's nothing much, but I picked up the padauk that I used for the bowl I posted for just a few dollars, and am enjoying my supply of sapale. They will plane to any thickness, but do not resaw, and although sometimes I can find 1/2" stock, 13/16" is about as thin as they commonly carry.

Hope to see you at the Pumpkin festival next week.

I have been looking for lumber sources since moving to this area and found a plant the other day that produces hardwood flooring. They will sell pallets of cutoffs for .50 a foot. They had all the local hardwoods like oak, hickory, ash, maple, cherry and he showed me a piece of silver maple that looks like it would work really nice.
