I make alot of pens and pencils and usally end up with alot of scrap wood from the wood blanks. I have a small bag full of them with several different species of wood. They range from 1/4"x3/4"x3/4" to about 1"x3/4"x3/4". Any ideas about what I could use the wood for? Thanks.

We know a vendor who is a bowl turner. One thing she started recently is putting all those little pieces together to make a bowl blank, then turning it. They looke really really cool. it's tedious to put them together but based on their bowls - worth the effort. I finally had to start tossing my scraps that got too small- I simply have no more room!

I heard somewhere that some people will mix the small scraps with an epoxy resin. Once it is dried they can turn more stuff from the blocks. King |

Here's some ideas that may get your juices flowing. I'm not advanced to that point on making pens, but some day I'll give it at try. http://content.penturners.org/articl...gpenblanks.pdf

I've heard about gluing together pieces like that but have never tried it but I will some day. Thanks for the ideas.
