Default Wood buying online

I have been looking online for places that sell curly maple but can't find any. I found some on ebay but you can't get it in the size you need. Does anyone know of a website that sells figured maple in custom sizes? I need boards that are 1/2" thick and 5 1/2 wide. Any help will be appreciated.
Thank you
Don

Curly maple is getting harder to find. I found some locally and the only board that was really really nice was torn up and had bark on it - but I got it anyhow. Sometimes the Handsome Woodman might have some - it's worth calling them. don't just rely on what is showing on their website. They may have some stashed somewhere !

I did get some on ebay and have since taken it to the table saw to resize it for chess pieces. The guy I bought it from was getting out of wood so I got three good size pieces for about $20

I think most mills would run any board through the planr a few more times for you, and with the curly wood, they'd most likely run it through a big sander to get it to the thickness you need. Try Exotic Hardwood Lumber and Woodworkers Supplies | WoodworkersSource.com or even Quality Lumber at Affordable Prices! Hardwood Lumber for all your woodworking needs!
