Here are a couple of pics of 575bf of Brazilian cherry that I just got from Wall Lumber for a new commission. My client wants me to build all of the shelving and cabinets in his walk-in closets. This should keep me busy for about 5 weeks!!!

You will really be in great shape when you are finished with this project, that is one heavy pile of lumber. I think the average weight for this wood is about 8# per bd ft.saw dust

I had the guys at Wall Lumber run it through their big planer to save me some time plus shed some shipping weight. Still came in at 2300lbs.

That's a lot of wood! Just imagine the cost. Congratulations on getting such a grand project.

Looking forward to seeing WIP and the finished project. I love the look of that stuff but it sure is tough on blades and bits. Pat

Great stack of mighty fine timber Mike - and all those offcuts - that should make a few jewellery boxes!!

Just putting a floor down for my father-in-law in Brazilian Cherry. Unfortunately it's the fake laminated stuff - LOL! - but at least a lot less work than you have in store. Good luck!

Sounds like a great job. Mike. Please post some pictures. I can't imagine a closet like that. One board would fill mine!
