Hey, Bubba, sounds like you have a lot of ideas for your barn wood. Is it 1in. boards from the siding of a barn? If so, then you have some fantastic wood on hand. I haven't cut any with my scrollsaw, but, have made clocks, & painted scenes on them. I did one of a Bald Eagle for my Uncle & he mounted it in his travel trailer. I have one in my shop of two Pheasants & it is a clock also. I broke the edges so it would look original. Hope you can work something out that you like. Perk |

I have used barn wood in the past to make blanket chests (could be used as hope chests). I'll try to get some pictures as soon as I can afford a digital camera. Thanks again for responding. Bubba

This is a picture of the Pheasant Clock that I still have. I gave the others to relatives. This one hangs right here in front of me, so I can keep up with time, Ha. Perk

Hey, Bubba, I sure would like to get some more Barn wood. I haven't had any since leaving Iowa. I'm going back there in a couple of weeks & could probably get all kinds of it. Would be a little difficult getting it on a plane though, Ha. By the way, I didn't have any trouble with painting over the cracks in the wood. I guess it just comes naturally. Take Care Perk

I'm going to cut some patterns from it on my scroll saw but I will have to buy a digital camera before I can share the pics of the results. I've been researching different cameras so hopefully I will be able to buy one real soon. Thanks for sharing your work! By the way, where are you? I'm in Clarksville, TN, a little west and north of Nashville. Bubba
