When I was a kid I'm sure I ate a lot of paint chips, most likely lead paint, and look at me, I turned out fine (at least Kathy thinks Im fine, she thinks Im a Prince!!! LOL ) Maybe SHE ate to much lead paint!!!!
Free wood is the best wood, just be sensible, and you'll be ok.

I would use a chemical stripper that way there is no dust from sanding etcetera. There is no way you can contain all of that dust and putting it into the air would be bad.
