Default free wood

Hi all, Mike is working on a wormy red oak kitchen and is making lots of scrap lumber. He boxes it up in flat rate USPS boxes and sends it off to people on a forum he belongs to. We charge only shipping and paypal fees for the wood. he has given away more than 75 boxes of wood in the past year. we were wondering if anyone from this forum would be interested in receiving any. No special orders but it is all good kiln dried lumber. mostly 4/4 stock. Some might be planed down to 1/2 in. and some may be still rough. When he starts his crafts there will be a bunch of different woods. For instance, red oak , butter nut , walnut , ash , hickory , elm , curly maple , birds eye maple , blistered maple, poplar, sassafras, cherry, well you get the picture. If it looks like there is any interest we'll try some here. Right now the boxes are 10.50 shipping. Mike packs them as full as he can and tries to make sure that most all the wood is usable stock. Nobody wants junk even if its free.We will be checking back and will answere questions if any.by the way we take paypal to make everybodies life a little easier. thanks

Id be interested in a box full. I like wormy oak.It is the perfect wood to make an antique looking lamp I have a pattern for from Meisels. I should post a photo of that sometime, its one of my alltime favorite pieces I've ever done.

Well I'd say there's some interest. The boxes are approx. 10 x 8 x 5 . The pieces will be almost any size but we will scrap the smallest ones. Some of them will be 10 x 8 x 5 some will be 1 1/2 x 10. Lots of wood in these boxes for small projects. Mike can remember how hard it was to get started in this business and how hard it was to find good quality wood for a good price. Thats why we have our own kiln and 30,000 bd. ft. of lumber. We don't have room to store the pieces and don't have time to sort through them to try to find what we need, so we find homes for it.
When we get ready to ship we will start a new post to advise you how many boxes we have to send out. Then it will be first come first served. We will PM. you with instructions, assuming this site has that option. Paypal payment works best for us and most people but if its not possible we will work with you. we'll be posting soon. thanks Judy
