Based on Mike's recommendation, I spent almost $200 with them last month and haven't received a thing. I hope they are going to follow through with their outstanding orders and the whole thing isn't just a scam. I can't afford to throw away that much money and don't want to spend the time it would take to go through all the available legal options.

I just called the following number, 908-489-9465, and the answering machine said that they are either in the process of sending out orders or refunding money. The voice said to check your e-mail over the next few days but there was no date on the voice message itself. If they refund through PayPal won't we have to pay a fee because we are "receiving" funds?

If they refund the money through paypal, you should NOT have to pay any fees - it is considered a REFUND which is different then RECEIVING MONEY.

They still have my money and I have received no communication and no wood. I have left repeated voice mail messages and sent e-mail.

On June 6th I called the alternate phone number posted online by Desa Smith to contact her. The man who answered said he knew nothing about Mystic Hardwoods and was being inundated with phone calls from all over the place. He told me as he did everyone else to file a police report. I did that two weeks ago and so far heard nothing... Bob... "presently covered in walnut sawdust"...

Wow, sorry to hear about all of the problems. Amazing that I got that catalog at the scroll saw club meeting and was about to order from them and thought I would check with y'all first, sure glad I didn't jump in there!

I haven't checked it against snopes, but the contact information was checked out by a member of that group and does seem correct as listed.

Exact same experience. I didn't have the available money or the space, but was considering it. Glad I waited.
