Default Baltic / Finnish Birch Suppliers

Hi All,
Was just curious where folks are getting their BB plywood from these days? I bought some plywood from a home center near my home, but their were too many voids for the project I had wanted to use it for. I went back but was told they do not carry it.

Thanks.
Chris

Default Try this

Woodcraft, or any of the online wood suppliers that cater to scroll sawyers or a good local hardwood supplier will usually carry good BB ply as well. Try this Woodfinder: Lumber, Veneer and Sawmill Services
But never never never buy your wood at a home center, it either is poor quality or too pricey or worse yet, BOTH!!

We have a small lumber yard that carries Baltic birch - but they will not cut it and it comes in 5 x5 sheets - $65 per sheet. I went to Lowe's and looked at their 36" round plywood - low and behold it was Baltic birch for $6 something. For my little projects that is a good buy for me.

Sloans is also a good source.
I get mine from a local plywood distributor.
I do buy maple at Loews (solid) they have it in different thickness.
Saves me from having to resaw and plane.

Thanks to all who replied.

I have placed an order with Sloan's.

Appreciate all the advice.

Cheers.
