Default 3/16" wood

Anyone know where to get 3/16" baltic birch or hardwood? I saw some on ebay but I need quite a bit, so I am looking for a supplier.

Thanks

Sorry,

But I can help with 1/4 or 1/8 suppliers, but not 3/16 commercial lumber surfaced 4 sides.

BTW: Ever consider 1/4" thick solid lumber and run it through a thickness planner yourself? Also, there are more options if you are in a position to acquire a bandsaw, with riser block and re-saw blade, and cut a 5/4 (five-quarter) thick lumber into 3 pieces which are then run thru a thickness planner.

Have you thought about asking on Craigslist.com (as "Wanted-...." on the For Sale - Material section. Maybe someone near you or in Allentown, PA might have a bandsaw and thickness planner who might help with S3S re-sawn lumber to your needs.

OK, I found a place to get this thickness if anyone else is interested. It is from deer56hunter on ebay. I have seen posts on here before about this person, but when I looked on ebay is was usually for only a couple of boards. I emailed them today and found out that they will cut to your specs, so anything you want they can get. The prices I think are very reasonable (35.00 for 20'x6"x3/16" plus shipping for red oak).

Thanks for your help.

Price sounds great. Let us know how flat it is, and how much it cups after you have it for a couple weeks. I havent ever heard anything bad about that seller, so I'm sure he preps it properly. I once bought a bunch of thin wood from a guy seling on ebay, and the wood was so cupped that about 75% of it was almost useless after a week of acclimating. Dale

I've recently bought quit a bit from him recently trying to get a little stockpile built up. They combine shipping and it saves you big $$ by doing that way. Good people to deal with.

I bought some 3/16" BB from e-auctionsmart on eBay and it was flat enough, but the grade was not as good as I was seeking. I used most of it for shop wood.

Aircraft Spruce is very reliable, though expensive:

Just got my wood today. I went with 25 sqft of white oak, various custom sizes. It was $40 plus $18 shipping. It all looks really nice and really flat. Seems like deer56hunter is good to go. He was really helpful and gave me everything I wanted, and the custom pieces were dead on. It was shipped on Wed and I got it Fri.
