That's pretty good. Hawk does sell diamond blades and a water drip kit for cutting stone. Good thing it was marble and not granite. Marble is pretty much right on the border line of how hard is too hard. I see the picture, I I just can't imagine trying to cut that little hole while trying to steer that heavy slab. I would have just ordered a diamond hole saw from a plumbing or lapidary supply shop. They would have the exact proper size hole saw, since cutting holes in granite and marble is pretty common. You did good.
I think something like maybe a soapstone would be more conducive to scrolling. I prefer corian myself. I'm often surprised there isn't more people fretting corian.
