Walnut is getting harder to get here in S Central Pa. I found it for $4.20/bd ft from a buddy that has a sign shop and as high as $8.70 bd/ft from a local lumber company. This is 1" x 8-12" x 8-9' stuff. My two big project lumbers are oak and walnut with a bit of maple in third place. When I see it anywhere at a fair price, I snatch it up.

I wish I had a problem like this! To much wood, what to do. sounds like you could make a lot of projects and a few bucks as well.
